Year-end Personal Completion Checklist

Year-end-completion-checklist

The year is drawing to a close and there may be a few places where you’re at.

Are you one of the lucky ones to have a great year and celebrating how this year went?

Are you tired and cannot wait for the year to finish?

Or are you sad that this year is coming to a close and you haven't done what you set out to do for 2020?

Whatever you are feeling about your year, there are always loose ends to tie up before the year can properly come to a close. Here are 3 important reasons why you would want to complete as many things as possible before the year ends:

1. Experience freedom and peace of mind

Knowing that you have done everything that you have set out to do for 2020 gives you peace of mind.

Think of the amount of freedom that you would have if you had no worries and could do anything you want for the remaining days of the year. Wouldn’t it be great if you could play, relax, take a holiday, spend time with your loved ones, party or celebrate?

2. Get renewed energy

When you tie up loose ends, you free up energy from the clutter that you have accumulated over the past year. Clutter is an unresolved item that takes up your physical, mental or emotional space.

For example, imagine the amount of mental and emotional energy that is taken up by an unresolved disagreement with someone important to you. Does the disagreement weigh heavy on you? Now imagine that the disagreement is resolved. How relieved do you feel?

Clearing clutter and tying up loose ends helps you to regain energy and feel recharged.

What are loose ends that you can wrap up before the year ends?

3. Boost your self-esteem

Completing the goals that you set out to do this year helps you to gain self-esteem. When you succeed and achieve your goals, this helps to increase your confidence in succeeding in similar endeavours in the future.

Conversely, if you leave something undone, you could feel guilty, upset or even a sense of failure. Carrying forward these negative feelings into the new year isn't healthy, so feel good about yourself by finishing as many of the goals that you set out to do this year as possible.

What are some of the goals that you would like to achieve before the year comes to a close?

To help you complete your year, we have put together a Personal Completion Checklist that you can download. This checklist has 8 questions to help you examine different areas in your life and highlights what areas you need to take action in before the year closes.
